Companion care • Non-medical support

More connection in the comfort of home

A familiar conversation, a shared activity, and someone present during the day can make home feel more connected. Divine Touch offers companionship shaped around the person’s interests, preferences, and household routines.

Support built around the person

Companion care focuses on social connection and a dependable presence. The first step is understanding what the person enjoys, how they spend the day, and when additional company would be most useful.

  • Conversation and company: time for listening, familiar stories, and everyday conversation.
  • Shared interests: discuss preferred activities such as reading together, games, or other suitable activities at home.
  • Daily structure: support for a familiar routine, with the agreed schedule and tasks confirmed in advance.
  • Family coordination: identify a point of contact and discuss how questions and changes should be communicated.

Activities are agreed around individual preferences and practical needs. Companionship does not replace clinical treatment, therapy, or emergency supervision.

When families start exploring companion care

You may be considering support because someone spends much of the day alone, family visits are difficult to coordinate, or a household would welcome more regular social contact. These are useful reasons to start a conversation, even when you are still comparing options.

Explain what a comfortable day looks like for the person. Some people prefer quiet conversation; others enjoy familiar hobbies. A useful plan begins with those preferences rather than a standard activity list.

Companionship and personal care are different needs

If the request also involves hands-on assistance with personal routines, say so during the consultation. Personal care and light household support can be discussed alongside companionship, with the final scope confirmed through the assessment. Divine Touch provides non-medical home care only.

Common companion-care questions

Is companion care the same as nursing?

No. Companion care is non-medical social and daily-life support. Divine Touch does not provide skilled nursing or medical treatment.

Can we discuss a recurring schedule?

Yes. Tell us the days and times that would be helpful. Our team will confirm available scheduling options and any minimum service requirements.

Can support help family caregivers coordinate their time?

Discuss the hours when additional non-medical support would be useful. We can review the requested tasks and available coverage. An inquiry does not guarantee respite or immediate staffing.

Is transportation included?

Do not assume transportation or accompaniment outside the home is included. Describe the request so our team can confirm whether it falls within the available service arrangement.
